Medium: Wechat Moments
Inspired by Illustrator Jun Cen an the way he exploits simple shapes, I designed this poster for Redstar Theatre Audition based on a scene of Jinghui Meng's version of Dario Fo's The Accidental Death of An Anarchist.
To stay consistent with the brand image of Redstar Theatre, I used vintage fonts and screen print grunge texture. The poster is posted on social media platform which is mostly accessed by phone, therefore I employed high-saturated color as background to attract attention from target audience and minimalistic style for image to convey the least but necessary message.
Ticket Design for Audition of 2014

Since it was the first public audition held by Redstar theatre, I applied the fonts of Logo to reinforce the audience's memory.
Patterns inspired from Moveable Type appear on both front and back of the ticket. I rearranged the ten Chinese characters, five for "Redstar Theatre Club" and the other five up-side-down for "Boston's best actor/actress" to create playfulness.
Two types of tickets were created in order to reserve a vip version (black) for invited media, professors, and sponsors.
Logo
The logo is consists of four Chinese characters"Redstar Theatre" and scratched-edge star, highlighting the spirit of the club: “戲 (theatre art).“
